Sunday Worship

We seek to offer a collective worship experience in our Sunday Service that follows a reasonably familiar format of Christian Church worship built around the singing of hymns, prayer and the preaching of the Lord’s Word. We do have a unique approach to understanding the Bible in that we regard its message as primarily aimed at the inner life of our spirits. Thus while a large proportion of the text may, at least on the surface, appear to be historical in its emphasis we see within its stories a deeper level of meaning that relates to supporting living a spiritual life. This life is one focussed on cultivating a genuine concern for the spiritual well being of others through a relationship with the Lord God Jesus Christ in obedience to what He teaches us in His Word. Many have found that this way of understanding the biblical text not only makes it incredibly relevant to their lives but it also is able to reconcile many of its seemingly difficult passages with an understanding of God as a supremely loving and compassionate Lord who works continually for the eternal well being of all people throughout all faiths and spiritual traditions.

A new commandment I give unto you,

That you love one another, as I have loved you

That you love one another as I have loved you

By this shall all men know you are My disciples

If you have love, one to another

By this shall all men know you are My disciples

If you have love, one to another
Based on John 13: 34-35
